Oak offers a variety of Buffalo Hunts (American Bison). We sometimes offer
extra large trophy bull Buffalo, some Buffalo weighing over a ton, also other
mature bull Buffalo weighing 1000 to 1500 lb. We have a lot of mature
cow Buffalo, these offer a great hunt, the meat quality is very
good and they have a nice set of horns for a good shoulder mount
also. There are also limited Buffalo hunts on some smaller bull and heifer Buffalo
that offer more economical Buffalo hunting.
 Speaking of
Buffalo hunting, for those of you that have not tasted Buffalo meat, you will be
pleasantly surprised. Buffalo meat is very tasty, Buffalo burger is lean and doesn't
shrink up when it is cooked and Bufallo steaks have a very good flavor.
Some of our Buffalo hunting clients which have harvested Buffalo last year have shared
some of the Buffalo meat with us, and we found it to be excellent.
 The Buffalo (American Bison) offers
several trophies; you have the standard shoulder mount, or you can go with the
tanned Buffalo robe - either half hide or full hide. You can also make a very attractive
Buffalo skull mount, bleached out white, with black horns and leather strips with feathers
and beads. If you choose the Bufallo skull mount or a Bufallo shoulder mount, it is a very attractive
south-western looking decoration. We use very realistic looking
reproduction Buffalo horns on the shoulder mount. We have cast several sizes and the
Buffalo mounts look great! If you wanted to, you could get a half hide tanned, a shoulder
mount and a skull mount all out of one Buffalo. Not to mention, some very nice pictures out
in the field while Buffalo hunting.
Buffalo hunting starts in September and runs into March. Buffalo hunts are priced at $3200 for mature cows and $4000 for mature bulls. Complete butchering and processing is available for Buffalo.
We will offer limited Bow Buffalo hunting and Handgun
Buffalo hunting. The Buffalo, when approached closely or agitated are very dangerous,
and past experience has taught us when to stay back and harvest
Buffalo with a rifle. Buffalo hunting with a muzzleloader is a classic way to harvest
a Buffalo at White Oak Exotic Hunting Preserve.

The Buffalo

hunt? Now you can hunt these magnificent animals, get wonderful photographs,
