Q. What kind of boar do you have?
A. We hunt purebred Russian boar (sus scroffa). Also, we hunt the Black Wild Boar, various colored Razor Backs and Russian Cross Boar. They are all magnificent trophies.
Q. What do they weigh?
A. The average Boar harvested will range from 125 to 250 lbs.
Q. What is the time required for a hunt?
A. Usually, one but rarely more than two days.
Q. Is a hunting license required to harvest an animal?
A. Ohio residents need a general hunting license, non-residents
need none.
Q. How old do you have to be?
A. 8 years old if a parent is with the child at all times and is held responsible for the child, and the child has adequate experience to participate in a hunt.
Q. What is a good Weapon
A. Any rifle, bow or muzzleloader that will harvest a deer will
do fine on boar, ram or goat, or any heavy handgun. Shotgun with
slugs are also used.
Q. How many hunters are in a party?
A. You may have as many hunters in your party as you wish, but usually
there will not be more than four hunters to one guide. If you have
more than four hunters, you could get more than one guide at no
extra cost to you.
