Some people ask this question, and they feel a guide
is a hindrance to them. This couldn’t be further from the truth.
Your guide knows the terrain very well. His experience has taught him
where these animals prefer to hang out, where they might be when feeding
or traveling.
He will know when to sit tight or when to pursue, when
to get you to another area completely. He can tell you what kind of
animals you might be glassing, what their Trophy quality is and what
their value will be. He will be able to tell you that you are looking
at the best on the Ranch.
He can explain that you don’t want to harvest those animals
because he will eventually find you much better animals.I could go
on and on, but I think you get the idea. Your guide will also be there
to help with these type of situations, on the Bow and Rifle range
he can help fine tune hunting equipment if necessary.
He will pose the animals and offer important
tips on taking great pictures, attractive poses, proper background
and lighting etc. These guides are provided to you at no additional
charge, it is a wonderful part of the hunt at White Oak.
